Reiki (pronounced Ray Key) is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. Reiki is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us. If one’s "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high,
we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

Reiki is an ancient hands on healing technique that balances the subtle energies within the body. A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit. Many have reported miraculous results.

Dr. Michao Usui of Japan discovered the specific techniques through much sacrifice, study, and meditation. His technique involved the “attuning” of the practitioner’s energy field so they can be an instrument of healing. This attunement may be done over and over to further open your senses, and to different levels as the learning and experience progresses.
